50 Years of Your Faith in Action Through ShareLife

On March 19, 1976, Archbishop Philip Pocock made a Declaration on Behalf of Life — a defining moment that led to the establishment of ShareLife.

At a time when the dignity of human life was being challenged, he spoke with clarity and conviction, calling our Catholic community to live out its faith in concrete ways. From that moment, ShareLife was born.

Fifty years later, that same witness continues through the faithful support of our Catholic community.

Today, ShareLife reaches those who struggle to put food on the table, offers care to isolated seniors, provides counselling to individuals and families in crisis, and walks alongside those facing life’s most difficult moments.

The 2026 ShareLife Campaign marks 50 years of your faith in action — a milestone made possible through the compassion and commitment of generations of supporters.

As we reflect on this moment of conscience, we are reminded that this mission continues today, through each act of care and each life touched.
